The Puppet Master - Original Artwork 2016
This piece came from a time when everyone had an opinion about my life...what I should do next, who I should be, how I should move. I was the only woman in a male-dominated nightlife industry, and trust me, people tried to take my power any chance they got but I stood my ground...for years. The puppet isn’t a victim — it’s every voice, every limitation, every attempt to control or shape me. And the woman holding the strings is the reminder that I was never meant to be molded by anyone.
A strong woman with grace, elegance, and attitude can walk into any room and hold her own. That was me. I left New York, but New York never left me. I stepped into this industry already strong, already sharp, already knowing my worth. I demanded respect — and I got it.
This piece is a statement: your power grows the moment you stop letting fear direct the show.
