The story behind the art
Growing up in Queens, the 7 train was where my dreams started. I used to stand by that window, headphones on, staring at the city and wondering who I was going to become. That train carried all my fears and all my possibilities. Back then, my biggest fear wasn’t failing. It was not becoming anything at all.
This piece is that version of me: the girl who didn’t know where she was headed but knew deep down she was going to become somebody. Before the world had expectations, before fear got louder, it was just me, my thoughts, and my dreams.
Queens built the hunger, the resilience, and the feeling that I had to create something bigger for myself. No matter how far I go or how much I grow, that girl is still with me. She’s the reason I keep pushing, the reason I don’t settle, and the reason I continue to do what I love—even when fear tries to tell me otherwise.
