Growing up in Queens, the 7 train was where my dreams started. I used to stand by that window, headphones on, staring at the city and wondering who I was gonna become. That train carried all my fears and all my possibilities. Back then my biggest fear wasn’t failing…it was not becoming anything at all. This piece is that version of me — the girl who didn’t know where she was headed, but knew deep down she was going to become somebody.
